Palm Springs Art Museum

Accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Palm Springs Art Museum has 28 galleries and two sculpture gardens. Showing now through May 2023 is renowned light artist Philip K Smith who hails from the desert area. Inspired by the daily light phenomena of the desert, many of his works slowly shift from hue to hue, creating atmospheric effects.

One of the major tennis tournaments of the world takes place in Indian Wells from March 6 – March 19, just a 20-minute drive east of Palm Springs.
